dc.description.abstract Within monitoring of sugar beet growing in Central Moravia region we focused on evaluation of dependence among selected quality parameters during vegetation period. A medium-strength negative relation between the weight of leaf area and sugar content was determined; this relatin was most distinct during the last sampling (r = -0.576**). The root weight did not have strong influence even et the end of vegetation, there was a weak negative relation in the course of the whole observation (r = -0.173 --0.366**). The anticipated dilution effect of the growing root weight causing digestion decrease was thus not proved. At the end of vegetation period a medium-strength relation was determined in the relation between the root weight and MB-factor which give ripeness of sugar beet (r = 0.468**). Relation between the root weight and soluble ashes reproduced the same results. There existed a medium-strangth positive relation between the soluble ashes and α-aminonitrogen there existed a middle strong positive relation in the second half of August (r = 0.389**) and especially in the first half of September (r = 0.506**). en
