Application of knowledge of corporate governance in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The main objective of the research was to compare the level of application of knowledge of Corporate Governance of members of Corporate Governance bodies (including management board and supervisory board) of multinational organizations and Czech organizations doing business in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical basis we have defined the individual level of knowledge in the area of Corporate Governance. We have used a method of a questionnaire survey for data collection. The results were statistically evaluated. We have made recommendations to organizations operating in the Czech Republic based 011 the results of this research. Sharing the knowledge from multinational organizations of Corporate Governance might be one of the ways to increase the level of competitiveness of all types of businesses in the Czech Republic.
