Abstrakt: | Organizations are paying increased attention on Career Management practices, in their quest for organizational growth and the career development of employees. Knowledge sharing has been found an important weapon of sustaining competitive advantage and improving performance. Occupational self-efficacy reflects the conviction of a person's ability to fulfill his job related behavior competently. The role of career management practices adopted by organizations has a special significance to the occupational self-efficacy with the progress of employees in their careers. Study has focused the impact of Career and Knowledge management practices adopted by Czech organizations of thirty elderly employees holding administrative positions. Major objectives of the study were to examine the effects of Career and Knowledge management practices to the occupational self-efficacy of elderly employees. Impact of gender was also examined. Descriptive and inferential analyses of data were conducted using the SPSS package. Career and Knowledge management practices of organizations were identified and assessed. Major factors contributing to the occupational self-efficacy of elderly employees were assessed. Findings revealed a positive relationship of Knowledge management practices to the Occupational Self Efficacy, and career development of elderly employees. Study provided insights to improve the occupational self-efficacy, and longevity of elderly employees. |
