dc.description.abstract The aim of the article is to determine preferences of motivational factors of the blue-collar workers in the Czech Republic and the Sverdlovsk region in the Russian Federation. The paper presents partial outputs of the research into employee motivation preferences and their satisfaction with these factors. The data was obtained through a questionnaire distributed in 2017. The sample of respondents included 395 Czech and 308 Russian blue-collar workers. The data obtained was processed using basic descriptive statistics. Using the T-test, the levels of significance p were calculated for groups of motivation factors. The results of this research define motivation factors preferences of blue-collar workers in different areas, which is useful for organizations to make motivation programs more effective. The article also presents differences in the average level of groups of motivation factors between the observed areas. en
