Abstract: | Electrorheological (ER) and dielectric properties of suspensions of four inorganic powders (talk, magnesium hydroxide, aluminium hydroxide, titanium dioxide) of different particle size and shape along with polyaniline particles in silicone oil are compared. The ER effect expressed as electroviscosity (increase in suspension viscosity under electric field) to the field-off viscosity is followed. Different particle geometry causes different hydrodynamic properties, thus influencing the viscosity | ||||||||||
