Abstract: | A new nanocomposite in which conducting polypyrrole (PPy) is confined in MCM-41 channels has been synthesized. The resultant nanocomposite retains hexagonally ordered mesostructure. This material is a novel anhydrous system which can be used for electrorheological (ER) purposes, as it exhibits better ER performance than MCM-41 based suspensions. | ||||||||||
