Abstract: | Novel carbon based sorption materials were prepared from South Moravian lignite treated by low temperature air plasma. Sorption capability of different pollutants from the surrounding environment was evaluated by means of equilibrium adsorption isotherms determination. Their specific surface area and porosity were determined by nitrogen adsorption by means of BET isotherm. Basic thermodynamic parameters for the adsorption of ammonia ion (activation entropy, Gibbs free energy, activation enthalpy) were determined from measured equilibrium adsorption isotherms at different temperatures. | ||||||||||
