Abstract: | The aim of this paper is to introduce the meaning of the Holistic Competence to multicultural teamwork, especially to team members as they are important factor which effects competitiveness of transnational companies. Good teamwork can be a way to gain competitive advantage. This idea is base on the cognition that Human Resources and knowledge are more important than physical assets. The survey was focused on the following hypothesis: Over the half of respondents considers the holistic competence of multicultural team members is an essential or very important factor to gain competitive advantage in the Czech organizations. It was based on a questionnaire consisting of 3 multiple-choice questions and 1 ranking question. This survey was conducted in the selected Czech SME with a foreign participation and in the several branch offices of transnational corporation in the Czech Republic, during the period of April 2010 to June 2010. Based on the survey answered by managers generic team member profile template was proposed. This profile should be fundamental for describing the necessary skills and attitudes for a multicultural team member in the Czech organizations. |
