Abstract: | Pes planus is one of the most frequent orthopaedic defects of the kinetic system and not just for school aged children. Its occurrence may be caused primarily by an overloading of the organism. When evaluating the foot arch, it is impossible to unequivocally and directly conclude whether obesity is a determining factor on the occurrence of flat foot. Each method used is partly defined, partly processed and each has different levels of precision. According to the Chippaux-Šmiřák method, results show that for any weight category, the foot arch is more often evaluated as normal, whereas the Clarke angle method describes the foot as flat. | ||||||||||
