Abstrakt: | An isothermal reactor is a typical member of nonlinear processes. The mathematical modeling and computer simulations are tools widely used nowadays for their advantages over the experiment on the real system. The mathematical model of the surveyed isothermal reactor is described by the set of five ordinary differential equations which could be easily programmed and solved by mathematical software, e.g. Matlab. The paper shows a procedure for designing and controlling of this type of the reactor. The design of an adaptive controller uses a polynomial approach together with the linear-quadratic approach and the spectral factorization. It means that this controller satisfies basic control requirements. The adaptivity of the system is satisfied by the recursive identification of the external linear model. © 2013 IEEE. |
