Abstract: | In this paper a FEM simulation of shielding effectiveness of multilayer commercial panels with long carbon fibers is being presented. The simulation relies on the measured conductivity of carbon fibers in the frequency range up to 18 GHz. The FEM model does not assumes a physical microstructure of the composite but replaces the composite panel by a simple anisotropic homogenized model with positive material parameters. The simulated shielded effectiveness is compared with the measured data obtained by the TEM coaxial cell. A good agreement between the measured and simulated data is observed. © 2014 IEEE. |
