Abstract: | Open cell recycled polyurethane foam crumb (PUR) based composites (Gumotex, Breclav, Czech Republic) of varying pore size distribution were tested for transfer damping function in the frequency range of 50-1500 Hz. Tested samples were modified by different crosslinking density of the polybutadiene binder Krasol (Kaucuk, Kralupy, Czech Republic) and varying particle size. Samples were prepared with different material thickness and density. Based on this study the optimum material and processing conditions were selected for obtaining maximum vibration damping properties in the 1000 Hz frequency range. |
