Abstract: | The paper deals with problems of speed of sound in hydraulic pipeline and propagation of shock waves in a hydraulic system. An air quantity in the form of bubbles in working liquid has a significant influence on the speed of sound in fluid and the process of shock wave propagation in hydraulic systems. The right determination of the speed of sound in liquid is an important assumption for calculation of eigenfrequencies and simulation of dynamic characteristics of hydraulic systems. The pressure shock wave propagation in a long pipeline with mineral oil was measured on the hydraulic equipment. The speed of sound in the system of oil and the pipeline was determined from the pressure response to the input signal unit step. The influence of the speed of sound in liquid on dynamic properties of the hydraulic system with a long pipe was simulated. |
