Abstract: | The researcher lives in the Czech Republic where she is currently studying economy and management at the Tomas Bata University in Zlin. She has also completed a European Business program at the University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom. In her country of birth she has 2 student accounts and she also has one student account in the United Kingdom. During her studies, she has noticed several differences in consumption of debts among young people in different countries and she began to take an interest in this. As a result of this, this comparative study examines student indebtedness in the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic and tries to find answers to the questions of "why do students get into debt?", "For what purpose do they use this borrowed money?", "What are the conditions of providing the student's loans?", and "Which country provides more advantageous bank products and services for students?". |
