Abstract: | This chapter of scientific monograph deals with specific professional competencies of teachers teaching gifted pupils. Qualitative research with focus on gifted pupils’ perspective is described. 29 gifted pupils were split into two focus groups. Open dialogues were lead in these groups in order to get to know pupil’s opinions. These children attend sixth or seventh degree at the primary school that is focused on intellectually gifted pupils. Children had chance to say which of their teachers are good and which ones are not, what they do correctly and what not. An analysis was made based on these dialogues. This analysis was split into five chapters with further sub-categories. The summary provides discussion about specific professional competencies of teachers dealing with gifted children. |
