Abstract: | The presented paper uses simulation model to show the effects of an intuitive solution to the conflict on the performance of project team members. The paper is based on the systemic methods for problem solving in accordance with the IPMA standards (International Project Management Association), system approaches, systems thinking and system dynamics. Project Manager's decisions, whatever these are, always have a side effect. A conflict which is resolved quickly and intuitively saves time, though the overall performance of the team is at risk. Systemic conflict solution places higher demands on the project and thus the achievement of its range is endangered. How to cope with this dilemma and select a correct approach to the problem solution? The paper formulates a dynamic hypothesis according to Peter Senge´s archetype. Impacts of the selected solution are simulated on two manager´s approaches. The final recommendation proposes a policy leading to the best possible solution in given situation. |
