Abstract: | Research on performance management and measurement of enterprises has recently become a topic of importance to policy makers, media and academics alike. This field of performance management and measurement is rising quickly as respond to the roles of enterprises and companies changing and the global trends. Even though, much research has been developed in this field, there is no approved standpoint for an ideal framework in the literature for performance management and measurement. At the same time, theoretical and empirical evidence linking performance management and measurement is limited. Therefore, this study investigates theoretically and empirically performance management and measurement of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech Republic. It proceeds with relevant theoretical and empirical review of performance management and measurement. Then, this study discusses the impacts of performance management and measurement on Czech small and medium-sized enterprise performance. In order to fulfil these purposes, this study uses a case study approach. |
