Abstrakt: | The completion of doctoral studies and the first years of employment at a university are especially important for gaining one's first experience with the position of an academic staff member. It is this experience that affects the formation of new ideas about the career track of young people. This experience is very closely linked with the adaptation to the conditions of work, one's personal construct and the subsequent self-concept that is created in the social conditions of the university based on social representations. It may be assumed that adaptation to the conditions of the university is supported by the representation of reality, thus how the group shared beliefs develop and are passed on. In the case of doctoral graduates, this means that they receive social representation mediated by the people working at the given university. Social representation is actually a kind of traditional wisdom imparted to the generations working in the given institution. In the determination of how the social representations of people are accepted, one's personal construct plays an important role. That has an impact on the formation of the self-concept of doctoral graduates and their career planning. In this regard, the need for perspective is also important. This concept of relations is confirmed by research, the results of which are part of the study. The statements made by research participants were directed toward their ideas about their future career path. |
