Abstract: | This paper presents an approach to education in the field of MIMO (multi input - multi output) systems practised at our department. The approach is based on putting of theoretical knowledge together with practical laboratory experience. The theoretical education is on a basis of the polynomial theory. Students use various structures of control loops in continuous, discrete and delta representations. They verify their designed algorithms by controlling of laboratory models. Laboratories of the department are equipped with two MIMO models - the coupled drives apparatus and the through - flow air heater.
