Abstract: | The importance of creative and cultural industries is constantly gaining momentum and becoming the forefront of Europe. Every year, the share of GDP in the creative and cultural industries is growing significantly also in the Czech Republic, and it gets interested and supported by both government and independent non-governmental institutions. Creative and cultural industries naturally bring with them new jobs and places that demand an interdisciplinary overlap and an up-to-date overview of artistic and cultural events. Not only for this reason it is very important to prepare graduates currently in an interdisciplinary dimension to acquire knowledge, which mingle a few branches and lead them already within the classroom to the interdisciplinary cooperation and communication. Therefore, the main objective and interest of this study is to specify and identify the appropriate tools used by interdisciplinary cooperation within universities and specify "properties", skills and competences of the students that will enhance the employability of university students in the field of creative and cultural industries. The intention of this study is also to find out the benefits and knowledge of these students for further development and expansion of the creative and cultural industries. This study is based on the results of qualitative and quantitative survey conducted on one of the Czech multidisciplinary faculties, which have been analysed very interdisciplinary overlaps and the strengths and weaknesses of interdisciplinary cooperation. This study will be complemented by the results of nationwide research / mapping of the creative and cultural industries that have been done in recent years. The output of this study is to identify suitable interdisciplinary educational tools that will increase the employability potential of university graduates in the field of creative and cultural industries in the Czech Republic. |
