Abstract: | The collaborative robotics is together with digitalization a trending topic in the automation industry. It allows operators to safely work among robots and collaborate with them on various tasks. This solution combines the advantages of robots and humans and reduces space requirements, which results in boosted effectivity. Students of robotic fields should be aware of the usage conditions of collaborative robots to be fully prepared for their future work. They need to understand how different they are from classic industrial robots and what limitations they have. Collaborative robot YuMi from ABB is a perfect candidate for education as it is quite easy to program, with its low payload is harmless even when used inappropriately and has two arms that can be used for coordinated motion applications. |
